A Bachelor Nation Inspired Wedding Look

As wedding designers, we are constantly pulling style inspiration from unique places. Sometimes we design a wedding based off of a clothing style, a cool venue, the interior design of an awesome home or even (like today) from a style influencer! We're not gonna lie, we are complete suckers for Bachelor Nation and really love how these tv personalities become influencers after the show. They inspire new trends in clothing style, beauty and even interiors. Most recently, Taylor and Derek have caught our eye. We are loving Taylor’s boho, city chic personal style. Her clothing choices and overall vibe gave us an idea for a “boho in the tropics” wedding look and were so pumped to share it with you guys!

Typically when we design a wedding, we gather information from our couples through our questionnaire. They share things like how they met, where they like to shop, what restaurants they frequent together and so much more. Couples share their social media feeds and pinterest boards as well so that we can see some snapshots of their lifestyle. All of these personal facts really help us to customize their wedding in a way that represents who they are as individuals and who they are as couple. Since we didn’t have a ton of personal info about Taylor and Derek (other than what we learned from TV and from their social feeds) we couldn’t necessarily layer in the personal and intimate touches for this inspo board like we normally would. However, we think this look has the masculine color palette from Derek's classic style mixed with the bohemian and city chic elements from Taylor. Plus we had to mix in a touch of their love for the beach and where they met. We call the look “Boho Meets the Tropics”.

Here are some inspo pics that we pulled from their social feeds that helped inspire the final mood board for this adorable and irresistible couple.

Here is the mood board + look that we derived from those images:

We started with her love for a caramel mocha color palette and mixed in other natural colors like greens and blues. A palette that resembles the beach! The final product includes midnight sky blue, caramel, hunter green and a coastal beige! Their wedding concept has a modern yet classic spin on the traditional bohemian look. Clean lines and timeless accents create a classic and sophisticated look while the boho elements and color palette lend toward a fun and playful vibe.
